Notes for this Consultation
Provider shared that her 7 year-old niece in her care is so excited because her hair is all combed out and soft and she is able to wear it up on top of her head without having to have it braided. Because of neglect, her hair was in poor shape and at one point there was discussion of cutting it off versus trying to get it combed out. “I feel like today she is just happy, like a kid her age should be.” Discussed what will happen with her niece and gson now that they are out of school because of COVID-19. Talked about current COVID directives – she reports that in addition to watching TV she checks the King County Public Health website. She is stressing washing hands.
