Notes for this Consultation
Provider reports that her grandson is staying more and more time with her and less time with his mother. She asked about food resources as her income is fixed and her son does not always help her buy food. Gave her information to food banks in the area. She reports that her grandson’s behavior is somewhat delayed-he responds by crying, pouting, getting mad. He will not use his words. Talked about screening him for behavioral concerns. She is going to talk with his dad and see what he thinks. Given his history of being neglected discussed how that would impact his social/emotional development and that he could potentially benefit from behavioral health services.
