Contacted by provider and was informed that this week for therapy she needed help, she got herself to self sabotage stage and was arrested for dui on Wednesday night. Her dad bailed her out but she has an upcoming court. She stated that she wanted to know if she really could use my help to speak on her behalf so she can at least get house arrest so she can be with baby, continued therapy, going to AA’s with dad and eventually rehab once courts allow. Validated provider’s feelings of guilt and shame and ensured her that a letter of her receiving services could be written but would not be able to attend court.
